Sushi And Sea Lions Rachel Corsini
Thursday Mar 30, 2023
Thursday Mar 30, 2023
After declaring herself a pretty pink princess during her first ballet class, Rachel dreamt of sugarplums and began pirouetting her way through life. While studying to become a ballerina, she compulsively read books under her covers by flashlight and scribbled in spiral-bound notebooks. The urge to tell stories culminated in her graduation from Columbia College Chicago with a B.F.A. in fiction writing.
Never one to keep her feet on the ground, she traveled the world from Prague to Cape Town. Once settled back in Queens, she dabbled in journalism before working as an Editorial Assistant for a medical publisher. Seeking a more fulfilling career, she earned her MAT from Queens College and currently works as an English teacher in an alternative program in NYC.
Rachel spends her time sipping coffee, trying to cook, and caring for her judgmental geriatric cat. She currently resides in Freeport, Long Island. http://www.rachelcorsini.com

It Was A Pharmacy Destined For Fiction... S. Lee Fisher
Thursday Feb 02, 2023
Thursday Feb 02, 2023
Pharmacy to Fiction. Award-winning writing as a second career.
"Strong Women Rock" is Fisher's life mission statement.
When Fisher's mother realized she was pregnant, she instilled the need in her unborn child to be a strong independent woman.
The lesson hit its target. S. Lee Fisher, aka Dr. "P.," a clinical pharmacist, was born and raised in small-town Pennsylvania. She made her 'strong woman' debut in her mid-twenties when she became the first woman in her county to pay a man support. After moving to Pittsburgh, she enjoyed a successful corporate career managing retrospective clinical programs for the PBM side of a Fortune 20 company.
Fisher began writing fiction to channel the pain and grief of her father's passing. In the process, she discovered that she enjoys the creativity of telling stories, mainly when a strong woman controls the shots. Now a full-time novelist, Fisher lives on Florida's gulf coast with her husband of 38 years, Ralph. She enjoys painting watercolors, ballroom dancing, and swimming when she's not writing or dodging hurricanes. Becoming Olive W., Book 1 in the Women of Campbell County Series, won multiple awards in 2021 and is awaiting outcomes on several other nominations. https://sleefisher.com

The Rennington Chronicles: The Night Professor By P.F. Felix
Thursday Jan 19, 2023
Thursday Jan 19, 2023
“Freedom is a fool’s paradox...even the devil gets his due, eventually.”
Such was the mantra of Amyra Rose Moore. Before it all went haywire, Amyra’s life was blissfully centered. As the comely daughter of a West Coast socialite and pillar of her law school's LGBTQ-collegiate society, nothing could stop this rising L-gunner; that was…until that fatal-night after being convicted for her involvement in her biracial girlfriend's accidental death, causing insatiable media frenzies and death threats to ensue.
To ensure her daughter’s protection, her mother (the town’s mayor) struck a secret deal, forcing Amyra into hard servitude at a distant boarding school located in the middle-of-nowhere New England town of Rennington for the duration of her sentence. Upon arrival, she notices strange occurrences happening throughout the town via its reconstruction efforts; as an outside entity, MalCORP seemed to be funding the endeavor single-handedly without question.
When all seemed lost, she encounters a newly on-boarded professor who immediately took the school by storm. As she learns to adjust to her situation, an old trouble resurfaces, causing her to cower until a near-death experience prostrates her to remain at the school, as if fated. Later, Amyra is taken on a journey where she and the recently acquired teacher venture together, forming a solid friendship that churns into something unexpected. While their friendly liaison aggrandizes, the unusual occurrences happening in the woods behind the academy suddenly bring to light the deadly truth of the town’s cryptic past, as well as the pernicious reasoning behind why Amyra was truly brought there.
