Middle Age Cabaret, Shellie Schmal

Shellie Schmals is the producer and creative curator of VonSchmals Productions. With her love for community building, she's spent the past 15+ years working in the entertainment industry using my 25+ experience in the non-profit sector. As Stage 32's Director of Community, she led an online global community of creatives focused on networking and collaboration. As the Senior Program and Industry Relations Manager at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Shellie worked with emerging filmmakers on widening the scope of their festival-selected films by introducing them to distributors. She loves sharing her experience in developing creative, safe spaces that have multiple points of entry for new/emerging professionals to seasoned/trailblazer veterans. Volunteering is important to Shellie and she sits on the board of directors for Women in Film and Television Atlanta, Georgia Production Partnership, and Film Festival Alliance. Her creative passion is burlesque and pinup, and producing all kinds of comedy, film, fashion, and art shows in Atlanta since 2009, and in November 2023, she's launching Film Strip Fest, a two-day short-film and burlesque festival that celebrates the art of storytelling! http://www.shellieschmals.com
